How do I record a therapy session?
Open Lota and tap the record button on the home screen. Grant microphone access when prompted, and Lota will capture your session audio. You can also upload a pre-recorded audio file.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Your sessions, transcripts and chat history live on your phone. When Lota processes a recording, it's handled on servers in the EU and deleted as soon as you have the result. We never sell your data. See our privacy policy for the details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Go to your device's subscription settings to cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Delete individual sessions from within the app, or delete everything in Settings to erase Lota's data from your phone and close your account.
How accurate are the AI transcripts?
Lota uses advanced AI for transcription which provides high accuracy, including speaker labeling. However, results may vary depending on audio quality, accents, and background noise.
Is Lota a replacement for therapy?
No. Lota is a tool for reflection and organization — not a substitute for professional medical or therapeutic advice. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services.
What devices are supported?
