Our four promises
On your phone, not our servers
Your recordings, transcripts, summaries and chat history are stored on your phone. We don't keep a copy.
Processed in the EU, then deleted
When a recording needs processing, it's handled in the EU and deleted as soon as your phone has the result.
Never sold, never used to train AI
Your sessions aren't a product. No one, including our AI providers, can train on them.
No tracking. At all.
No analytics, advertising or tracking in the app or on this website. Not even a cookie.
What happens to a recording.
From the moment you press record to the moment it's gone from our servers.
Recorded on your phone
Your session or reflection is saved on your phone. Nothing leaves it yet.
You say yes
Before the first upload, Lota explains what happens next and asks for your agreement.
Processed in the EU
Sent over an encrypted connection to our service in Frankfurt, transcribed with speaker labels in Dublin, and summarised in the EU.
Back to your phone
The results are encrypted so only your phone can read them.
Deleted from our servers
The audio as soon as it's transcribed, the results as soon as your phone has them.

We hold only what Lota needs to run. Everything you said stays with you.
On our servers
- Your email address, from Apple or Google sign-in
- Your plan, and how much of your allowance you've used
- The status of a recording while it's being processed
- A notification token, if you turn notifications on

- Your recordings, once they're transcribed
- Transcripts, summaries, themes and goals
- Your conversations with Lota
- Anything you said in a session
You're in control.
Because your sessions live on your phone, you decide who sees them and how long they last.
App lock
Open Lota with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
Export
Keep your own copy of your sessions, wherever you like.
Delete anything
Remove a single session, or everything, including your account.
Your backup, your choice
Lota's data can be included in your iCloud or Google backup. On iPhone, Advanced Data Protection end-to-end encrypts it.
